Carlos J. Hornbrook is the managing partner of the Hornbrook Law Firm and Hornbrook Wealth Management. He earned his Juris Doctor from The Southern Law Center in 2015, Master of Law in Taxation from the University of Florida College of Law in 2021 and his B.A in History in 1984 from Louisiana State University, where he was a member of the 1982 LSU Orange Bowl football team. Carlos is also an alumni of De La Salle High School (class of 1978).
Since graduation, Carlos has maintained a diverse law practice, including estate planning, criminal litigation and business practice. He has successfully litigated cases throughout Louisiana, including business transactions, contract disputes, real estate disputes, criminal defense, general tort claims, claims for property damage, and successions. Carlos is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, the New Orleans Bar Association, American Bar Association and the New Orleans Metropolitan Association of Realtors.
Carlos has over 30 years of financial planning experience and was a First Vice President of Investment for major Wall Street Firm before starting his wealth management company.
As a New Orleans business and civic leader, Carlos has served on the board of directors for the Ronald McDonald House, Friends of NORD, Athletes in Action, New Orleans Public School Alumnae Association (President), he was the Chairman for the Rally for the New Orleans Public Schools and a current board member of the Dryades YMCA (Vice-Chairperson).
Carlos lives in New Orleans, Louisiana with his wife Erica Cormia, Esq. (Southern Law Center Alumnae).
